Realizations (Newsletter 05.18.12)

So it’s been a while since we were last in contact…in that time I’ve had many realizations…first and foremost, I realized that it’s been almost two months since the last time that we reached out to our peeps on Talkic so it was time to say hey…hey. Yeah, I’ve had writers block you might say (I did however put up a posting called, The day the music died…on my iPhone…I went droid and have been taking advantage of the new found knowledge that I can stream new music and share pictures on Talkic via Samsung’s Galaxy Note…something we can’t do with iPhones…yet)

I also realized that applying for small business government grants is an experience that is comparable to water-boarding. There’s a bit of torture involved and in the end, you probably aren’t going to get the desired results.

I also realized that I am in horrible shape. From the extreme sport of freelance dog walking, I have developed a small case of shin splints…most likely thanks to walking an Italian Waterdog who is used to going for 10 km runs with his owner (for Americans…10 kms is roughly 6 and a bit miles…and yes, if you live in the Yonge and Eglinton area of Toronto and need your dog walked and loved while you’re out…feel free to get in touch at talkit(at)talkic(dot)com)…but it may have also come from trying to keep up with an elder Shih-tzu who likes her power walks. I dunno. All I know is that I would like to be in better shape by the end of the summer.

Lots of other realizations…but the long weekend (for Canadians) and my dogs’ birthday (their 9th…shared with Pete Townshend) is almost here…sooo that’s about it for now...enjoy and hope to see you again soon.
